It doesn't really look like the tines are overloaded or clogged. No noise from the motor, no LED, nothing. It has an LED indicator that usually turns on to indicate that it is running. There is no indication of power when plugged in, turned on and buttons pushed. No, it probably has not been regularly lubricated, but then again, we probably averaged fewer than 100 pages shredded every 6 months.
